Xiqu Center

The Xiqu Centre, a new performing arts centre in Hong Kong, is a two-theatre venue featuring Cantonese opera and Chinese traditional theatre (xiqu). With the objective of preserving, promoting and developing the art of Xiqu, the Xiqu Centre invites top troupes from Hong Kong, the Mainland and elsewhere to stage large-scale classical operas, rare local repertoire, and new contemporary creations by master artists as well as promising new talents.
